Class: Carving - ORNAMENTS

Learn how to carve an ornament shaped cabochon and add details. Great for decorating your own tree, or giving away as gifts! Students will learn how to use various shaped burs to create their ornament and polish it to a bright shine. Finished carving will be suitable for a bezel or prong setting with embellishments, or it can be drilled for hanging on your holiday tree.

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Cost: $30/day class fee + materials. Club membership required.
Materials: $25-$60 materials fee, paid separately.
Or you can bring your own carving burs and a slab with a minimum thickness of 7mm. Recommended burs: Diamond Pacific NOVA Points in small bullet shape, cone burs, inverted cone burs, bullet point burs, ball burs, and diamond powders or pastes plus hard felt “burs” in various shapes (one bur per diamond grit).
