CLASS & WORKSHOP TERMS & CONDITIONS
By registering for any class, workshop, or educational program offered by the Palomar Gem and Mineral Club (PGMC), you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Registration and Payment
- $50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration for most classes.
- Registration is confirmed only after payment has been successfully received.
- Class space is limited and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
No Refund Policy
- All classes, workshops, and educational programs purchases are non-refundable.
- Refunds will not be issued for missed classes, scheduling conflicts, illness, work obligations, transportation issues, dissatisfaction with a class topic, or any other personal circumstances.
- Failure to attend a registered class does not entitle the participant to a refund, credit, or transfer.
Cancellation Policy
- Registrations and workshop reservations may not be canceled within 48 hours of scheduled class or workshop.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring they can attend all scheduled class and workshop sessions prior to registration.
No Make-Up Classes
- PGMC does not offer make-up classes for missed sessions.
- Instruction missed due to absence cannot be rescheduled or provided separately.
Transfers
- Registrations may not be transferred to another class, workshop, session, or individual unless expressly approved by PGMC management in writing.
Class Changes by PGMC
- PGMC reserves the right to cancel, postpone, combine, or reschedule classes due to instructor availability, facility issues, low enrollment, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond its control.
- If PGMC cancels a class before it begins, participants will be offered either:
- A transfer to a future class; or
- A full refund of the registration fee.
Membership Requirements
- Certain classes, workshops, or member benefits may require an active PGMC membership.
- Participants are responsible for maintaining any required membership status throughout the duration of the class or program.
Materials and Supplies
- Material fees, supply fees, shipping fees, and membership fees are separate from tuition unless otherwise stated.
- Materials purchased or provided for a student are non-refundable once ordered, distributed, or consumed.
Liability
- Participants assume all risks associated with the use of tools, equipment, machinery, and materials.
- By participating, you agree to follow all safety rules and instructor directions at all times.
- PGMC is not liable for personal injury, property damage, loss, or theft occurring during participation in any class, workshop, event, or program.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
- By completing your purchase, you agree to contact PGMC directly to resolve any concerns before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
- Chargebacks filed in violation of these terms may result in suspension of membership privileges, class participation, future registrations, and Rock Box subscriptions until the matter is resolved.
By completing your registration or purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
