Class: Carving I - Introduction to Carving: Fancy Cabochons

Students will learn how to use carving burs with a rotary motor and flex shaft (Foredom or Dremel-type tool) to create fancy-shaped cabochons (e.g. sharp inner curves or angles such as hearts, flames, iron crosses, cut-outs for tube settings, etc.).

Skill Level: Beginner

Cost: $15 class fee + materials.  Club membership required.

Materials: $85 materials fee.  Materials include sintered diamond burs, Nova diamond burs, and a preformed cabochon, all of which students will keep.
